Thanks to John Allsop I have now signed up to participate in Earth Day 2008. Over sixty major cities and hundreds of thousands of individuals have agreed to shut off their lights for 1 hour on the 28th at 8 PM. This should show a major reduction in the planets power comsumption and reduce the earths carbon foot print. Lucky for me living in the North it is still almost daylight at the given time and shutting the lights off for an hour will be very easy for me. I shut every thing off before I go to the pool to swim and I arrive at the pool around 8. I'll be e-mailing my friends and asking them to take part, what the hey it can't hurt.

Just returned from Barbie dolls and Johns and we had a fine Easter feast. There is now offically one less prime rib in Yellowknife and a few souds as well are missing.

The trip to Barbie-dolls brought my daily step total up to 16,321 for the day and that is enough for anyone. Just a few more days and I'll be heading east on the trail and expect to pass Chilliwack in about ten days.

The day here was great, I got a good walk in this morning and came home and snoozed for awhile. I am working on some rescue notes etc. for CERTNWT and will have some flash cards made up before the next meeting.

This morning I checked out the Rock and Ice Ultra tent camp on the lake but noone was home. They have done a very nice job of setting everything up, lets hope the racers run as smoothly. I'm ready for a good non techical book and a read then lights  out for me. All and all a very nice day.
