Yes summer is trying to poke her head through. I am sure the weather has been as weird for everyone so I won't  dwell on it.

Personally I hope for an extended fall as I like the fall and the paddling can be very good. Once the ice sets in were done for the season.

Don't forget to celebrate World Rivers Day which is Sunday, September 27th this year. I will be hosting a small get together at the Yellowknife River bridge one of our favoured spots for this type of thing. Nice place easy to reach via road or lake and only six miles from town.

Last year was nice but very cool unfortunately and that stopped some folks from paddling. This year we will will haul out some boats and set up the slackline rig and try some other rope related gates. Cooler stuff for colder weather. Horseshoes might be fun or volleyball and of course some tunes.
