Jay returns unscaved from the North Arm of Great Slave lake

I was pleased to see a note on my door last evening from Jay. He finished his paddle a day early and was decided to spend this night camping and I will see him in the morning. I knew he would be back today or tomorrow at the latest, but now that he is hear it is one less thing to worry about. Looking forward to seeing him and seeing how the safari went. He made it home alive and that is a good sign. Today is roll practice and banking and whatever else I come up with I want to put the squirt boat in the lake and see how much pain I can take. As the old saying goes "if it don't hurt it don't squirt."

Fall will arrive here faster than we like to think as we were kind of short changed on our summer. Still we could luck out and get fairly nice weather until mid October. I would like to spend as much time as possible trying to master the stuff I set out to complete at the beginning of soft water season.

There is also the dreaded shack repair and other chores and on earth we have such short days. Cheers, Greg
