Welcome to my Blog, enjoy your stay!
Yesterday and today blurred by and I actually got some where. I have Sploosh all ready for the North Arm trip. The boat has done it before and will bring Jay back, no worries. The weather is clearing and the wind dropping, baraometer on the upswing, all good signs. Patick and I will run the shuttle as soon as Patrick is off work around 17:00 hours we hope. I replaced the bungee cord that helps the rudder lifting system today and tomorrow will silcone the cables and pedals, so that everything runs smoothly. That should set Jay right and sometime around dark he should be camping at old Ft. Rae.
This evening our CERTNWT meeting went well and we held it in the play ground at Mildred Halll school. A rope session with knot practice for Anne-Marie and she is improving very slowly but surely. Seems we are once again looking for a home base and I will keep my eyes and ears open for a spot. Dinner beckons and I will be back here a bit later.
Dinner was simply grand and I am now very tired and heading for bed. Tomorrow is throwbag practice and a few other rescue tricks that I need to practice up on. I need to rehash my clinch up rope rescue techniques as I am a little rusty. I just added the Falcon White Water Safety and rescue manual to my collection. I have a few Falcon guides and they are usually very good and in a few days I will let you know about this one. The ISBN number is 987-0-7627-5087-0 in case you wish to check one out for yourself. The brief glance I took in the book store convinced me that it should be in my collection and I think it will be a grat addition. Many of the books cover the same thing with just a little difference in the knots or systems and having a wide ranging back ground means you can work better with a wider range of groups. Time to get a few hours shut-eye. Adios for now Greg
