Foiled by drifting ice

This morning the bay in front of my place was a lovely stretch of open water and I thought great I will paddle this afternoon when the is is nice an warm. Well the best laid plans are foiled by shifting winds and the bay in front of my place is full of candled ice to dense to paddle through to reach open water. I should have gone this morning when I had the chance.

I did however squeeze in 17,000 steps along my walk across Canada and in about 2 or 3 days I will be past the junction where the TCT swings north west or heads east. I have no control over which way the tracking program will send me but, I am hoping it is east. I am glad to have past Edmonton as it is another landmark behind me and brings that Saskatchewan border closer.

Tomorrow Leg 8 of the Volvo starts and this a qiuck blast 4 days to the next port where we put in for four days and then take off again for Sweden.

Tomorrow evening is the second session and I will be helping Narwal with their roll class. I think the course is 5 sessions but it may be four. Housing sitting allows me access to Lauras car and I will be able to move my kayak around giving me a few options on where and which boat to use. Nice to have a selection of kayaks and a method of moving them for a change.
