Welcome to my Blog, enjoy your stay!
The Virtual Volvo ocean is offically completed, leg nine has been won. Congratulations to Power of 7 for running a brilliant series and winning six out of nine legs and first place over all.On June 26 we we blast off from Stockholm bound for St. Petersberg, Russia. This leg is more a less a victory lap for all those that chose to race. After racing all nine legs I feel that missing leg ten would leave the Volvo as unfinished business.
I had a very interesting winter and circling the globe twice, once in the Vendee Globe and then the Volvo Ocean has been quite a geography lesson. I have met some very interesting racers and my thanks to those that pointed out my errors and sent me warnings in the nick of time. I in turn send those warnings to others that were about to crash or had stalled out. I look forward to one day perhaps being able to race or at least crew on one of these boats as they are incredibly fast sailboats. Dreams are always worth having and you never know, you sometimes get what you ask for.
Today was a hot humid and overcast type of day on Yellowknife. It was threating to rain all day but it never happened . Suits me fine I am not a rain peson. I did a quick 5,000 step walk and squeezed in a bike ride. I have some chores to do today and I am looking forward to getting them out of the way.
