Another bright, sunny and cool day in the Knife

Yellowknife is trying to warm up but, the cool north wind is having its say about that. The sunshine is great, I love the long days and if you are out of the wind it is actually very nice.

Today I bought a turning fork for my compost pile and as it thaws I will seperate the soil from the still composting stuff and continue working the pile. I started this pile 3 years ago and so far it has done a great job og turning the area yard waste into very useable soil. I highly recommend starting your own pile if you have room or go for the composting worms. The worms are having great success here in Yellowknife and I know many folks that are using them.

I had a great nights sailing but have lost back half my gains as I was out for about 4 hours and unable to check. This is a tight race and any time away can cost you big. Still it could have been worse.

While I was out this afternoon I lost half of the places I had gained or more, very frustrating as I can't be here 24/7. This could drive you nuts. I have won back a couple of thousand places but am wondering if it is worth the effort.

I have almost reached Leduc, Ab. on the TCT virtual walk and will be in Edmonton this week end if all goes well. I have been walking a while to reach here and will be glad to reach this goal.
