Welcome to my Blog, enjoy your stay!
I have been strolling round the TCT and have knocked off 16,000 steps and will ride my bike and paddle yet today. I am getting busy now and may have to start my days much earlier. This should bring me a little closer to Devon Alberta and that is fine by me. The trail does not pass Reddeer which is to bad as I like that area. Good rafting and cycling there.
The weather outside is shaping up and the day is bright, sunny and finally warm.
I have moved ahead in the Volvo and am still about 10,000 places behind my best position in the leg so far. It is getting harder to stay indoors and race when the is kayakable water out there. Today I will put the squirt boat in for a float test and suirting is still darn cold here. I have a few chores left to do and best get out thre after all I'm burning daylight. Off to Canadian Tire to grab some rope for splicing practice.
Received a box of coin boxes from the Kidney Foundation and will start looking for locations. They don't haul in heaps of money anymore but every little bit counts. Debit cards and credit cards are tough competetion for the coin boxes. The new boxes look good and have a sticker calling then Loonie Bins would be nice if it worked but I won't hold my breath.
The Volvo is going well and I have gained back some more ocean. Very close to rounding the mark and it looks like lots of boats are going to round it on the wrong side. According to the sailing instructions for the leg we are suppost to pass NA1and2 to port which means the mark should be on our left when we pass it. Should you pass it on the wrong side you will have to come about and round the mark on the proper side to continue racing. Unless these boats are planning to over shoot and tack back on a faster point of sail they are to far north. I hope that they all pass on the wrong side as it puts me in a much better position.
